El Tubo Bar

El Tubo Bar

Blue-violet light and white paint

This stunning modern bar is located in a old dated 1820 building, Puericultorio Perez Aranibar in Lima, Peru. The El Tubo Bar was designed by Felipe Assadi and Franciesca Pulido, featuring a number of unconventional elements that make it stand out.

Architects have used some pavilion’s rooms of former palace to build the bar, while the remaining building is still part of the cultural heritage of the city of Lima. The two spaces live together through an independent structure that looks like a tube.

One side walls and the ceiling was drilled with holes from which a blue-violet light gives a nice color inside. The other materials used were steel and a white shining epoxy paint. The furnitures are arranged all in length, the bar by himself, tables and chairs for guests, as well as sculptures and pictures near the bar. Everything in this atmosphere was designed following a very abstract and neutral aesthetic.
